Point of View
In the story the author, Rick Riordan, uses third person omniscient as the point of view. Rick uses words like he, she, Jason, Piper, Leo, etc. This means that the characters in the story are not actually telling the story there is a narrator to go along with what they do. It is omniscient because the readers know about the thoughts of more then one character. In the story you know the thoughts of at least three or four characters. "But Piper kept her eyes on Jason, like she couldn't decide whether to be hurt or worried."(7) "What am I doing here guys?"(6) In the first quote the author describes what Piper is going through with Jason losing his memory. In the second quote the author describes what the main character Jason is going through because of losing his memory. The author tries to make the readers feel that Jason is very confused and worried about himself.
